The barn door installation isn’t the only one that could come to a town near you.
According to the Wall Street Journal, the state of Georgia is considering a bill that would require homeowners to install lighting in their barns.
“It’s just a nice way to get a little bit of extra attention for the barn door,” said Paul Paterno, a retired police officer in Athens.
“It’ll be nice to have a little more visibility for the other tenants, too,” added John Fazio, a homeowner in Peachtree City, Georgia.
The Georgia legislature recently passed a bill to allow homeowners to have lighting in all their barn doors, which is an extension of the existing state law.
If passed, the law would take effect March 1.
